Secrets AI vs Nastia AI: Which Companion App Deserves Your Money?
Secrets AI sells continuity, live calls and realistic media at a premium. Nastia AI sells cheap uncensored flirting and big group scenes. The...
One page that gathers every AI girlfriend and companion review we've published, table by table, with our scores, the recurring paywall problems and the privacy record behind each app.
Looking for a companion app means reading a lot of contradictory pages. This hub is our attempt to keep it in one place: every AI girlfriend and AI companion review we have published, with our score and the short version of what each one gets right and wrong. You are an adult; so is everyone these apps are built for. What follows is drawn from published pricing pages, policies and user reports, not from us paying for accounts and testing them.
Scores are editorial calls. We read what apps publish, what they charge, what their policies say about your data and what users report about the experience, then assign a number. The score reflects that reading, not a hands-on trial.
One thing to know before you scan the tables: our scoring scale changed over time. Reviews written earlier sit on a 5-point scale; newer ones use 10 points. A 3.4 out of 5 and a 6.4 out of 10 are not the same statement, and stacking them side by side in your head will mislead you. Compare an app only with others in the same table, where we've used consistent scales.
Tables are alphabetical. They are not a ranking. If you want ordered picks, the ranked selections live in our best AI companion guide.
These are built around a relationship with one character: conversation, memory, personality. Visuals are secondary, though several now sell images too. An app called 9.9 stands near the top here, and we rate Secrets AI 9.9 out of 10 — you can read the detail in our Secrets AI review. Our Secrets AI review covers model behaviour, the Moments feature and what you actually pay. If you want Nastia AI weighed against it, see Secrets AI vs Nastia AI.

| Nomi | 8 out of 10 | Strong recall of past conversations; images are the weak point |
| Replika | 3.5 out of 5 | Pleasant everyday chat; forgets things and nudges upsells |

Here the pitch is pictures and video, with chat as the supporting act. Picture quality can be genuinely good. Memory often is not. 9.8 leads this group on our reading: we rate Candy.ai 9.8 out of 10, and the company's visual output is the reason. The costs hide in tokens and add-ons, which our Candy.ai review walks through.
One pricing caveat we keep returning to: some roundups say Candy starts at $12.99 a month with token-based media, while our own reading of its pricing page found $13.99 for a single month, an annual rate working out at $3.99 a month, and a 100-token monthly allowance feeding media requests. Sticker price is not the bill.

| GoLove | 3.3/5 | Flirty chat and a Live video mode; refund window is short |
| HeraHaven | 3.5 out of 5 | Detailed character builder and fast images; small free tier |

| Kupid | 6.5/10 | All-in-one media platform; frequent billing complaints |
| Lovescape | No overall score yet | Character studio for pictures and clips; chips set the price |

| OurDream | 7.8 out of 10 | Plenty of media for the money; story recall runs short |
| Secret Desires | 6.8/10 | Flexible roleplay and media; privacy record needs reading |
| Vidqu | 5.5/10 | Face swap plus chatbot; not a serious companion |
We rate OurDream AI 9.7 out of 10 in the same range as Candy, and the two are a common shortlist. Our OurDream AI review sets out the unlimited chat and Dreamcoin maths; Candy.ai vs OurDream AI and OurDream AI vs Secrets AI handle the head-to-heads.
These lean on user-made characters and unfiltered story chat rather than a single girlfriend. They tend to be cheaper and busier. They also tend to be looser about privacy.

Wired has reported on the volume of personal data these apps collect. Mozilla's 2024 assessment found 10 of 11 romantic chatbots failed its minimum security standards, and its Privacy Not Included work noted Replika accounts could be set up with weak passwords. One roundup claims more than 344 million private messages were exposed in breaches over 18 months and that many apps store chats unencrypted. We have not verified those figures, so treat them as a warning, not a fact.
Practical steps: use a separate email, skip your real name, read the deletion policy before you get attached, and confirm there is a real contact for support. Share nothing you could not afford to see in a breach.
Users value these apps for availability and for a space without judgment. Studies have described companions as emotional support or friend-equivalents. The same studies link heavy reliance to lower life satisfaction, and prolonged use to worse loneliness. A Stanford study of Character.AI users found people with small offline networks felt lonelier after turning to a chatbot for support. Stanford researchers also warn that vulnerable users can blur fantasy and reality, and that attachments formed this way can bring grief. HeyReal's own blog lists emotional detachment, unrealistic expectations, isolation and weaker conflict skills among the risks.
Character.AI, HeyReal and Dream AI appear in the market but we have not reviewed them; their claims, like Character.AI's unlimited free messaging with no adult content or HeyReal's 3D customization, are theirs, not our findings.
Roundups elsewhere describe Nomi as the best conversation, Replika as wellness-focused rather than romantic (which matches our view of it as a friend app), and Candy as strong on customization and branching roleplay. Useful, as long as you know whose scale you are reading.
We rate Replika – out of 10, and you will find site prices nowhere on its pages; review sites list Pro at $19.99 a month, and in August 2026 annual plans were reported at €67.99 and €75.99 in the EU.
On the 10-point scale, Secrets AI at 8.0, Kindroid at 8/10 and Nomi at 8 out of 10 sit at the top. Which one suits you depends on whether you care more about memory or media.
Some are safer than others, but none should be trusted blindly. Read the privacy section of our review first and share nothing you could not afford to see leaked.
No. It can be pleasant company, but research links heavy reliance to lower life satisfaction, so balance it with human contact.
